Public Radio Nerd was created by Jocelyn Peirce, an unpaid public radio producer (intern) in Chicago. One day she decided that her boss, Nick van der Kolk (producer of Love + Radio, winner of Third Coast, generally awesome dude) led too dignified a life, so she turned him into a meme. He’s still not talking to her, but he has emailed her a few Public Radio Nerd suggestions.
